Mechanics before decoration.
The theme matters, but the game has to work. We prototype the core decisions first, then build components, characters and presentation around a system worth playing again.

We design board games, card games and physical game systems around strong decisions, readable rules and components that are satisfying to use.
DESIGN EXPLORATION / TABLETOPThe theme matters, but the game has to work. We prototype the core decisions first, then build components, characters and presentation around a system worth playing again.
Cards, boards, dice, tokens, miniatures, inserts and packaging all affect how a tabletop game feels. We design them as parts of one product rather than separate decorations.
A digital game does not automatically need a tabletop version, and a board game does not need an app. But when the mechanics genuinely benefit from another format, we are interested in exploring it.
That is the part we care about most: the decision, surprise, argument, laugh or narrow escape people remember after the pieces go back in the box.
We'd love to hear about the decisions, components and moments that make it special.
